Although there are never absolute rules in feng shui, there are five things that are very important to keep in mind:

1. do not place a mirror in your front entry that faces your door, it reflects positive energy back out the front door.

2. you should not have the foot of your bed directly facing the door of your room, it is a vulnerable position.

3. when you want to be in control, never sit with your back to the door.

4. Get rid of items given to you by past lovers (box up, sell, or return) if you are looking for a new relationship,

5. Do not use mirror tiles, otherwise your self image will be distorted.
