You are what you think!

Do you have a running dialogue in your head?  Everyday, is the voice in your head rambling on? It continuously reminds you of all that is wrong with your life, or how much better looking that woman across the street is, or wow, that is a nice car, I wish I could afford one.  The voice tells you stories about what you can’t do; and stories about who you should blame.  These are repetitive thoughts playing over and over again in your mind reinforcing them until you actually believe them! Did you know that we think around 60,000 thoughts per day, and that over 90 % of them are the same thoughts we thought yesterday? We are creatures of habit. For just one-day try to keep track of how many negative thoughts you have about yourself or your life. You will be surprised how often you reinforce your own negative behavior. Is there a cure? Yes! Each day, select one of those negative thought and replace it with a positive one.  Each time that negative thought creeps into your head, immediately correct yourself with the positive thought.  Replace all of your "can't" statements with "will" statements.   Or if someone tells you that you look good, don’t automatically say that you don’t.  Instead say 'thankyou' and eventually you will find this to be true!  This isn’t easy but if you do it in small steps you will soon find that you have vanquished your negative thinking!
